We reached a unanimous decision that San Diego is awesome. The town has a relaxed atmosphere for its size and is actually pretty spread out. Caitlin led us on a grand tour of the local hot spots. The first stop was Balboa Park with its botanical gardens, organ stage, museums, and architecture; great place for a picnic. Later we walked downtown, seeing the harbor and the Gaslight District. A street artist stacking rocks defied gravity right before our eyes. Ocean Beach was a cool place where we watched a surf competition, then walked over to Dog Beach where everyone brings their dogs to frolic in the surf. We befriended a few canines before leaving.
